Early 18 Lb (8kgs) Narrow Twisted Handle tailors iron.

Sometimes called a "sad" iron. Sad means "solid: in old English.

According to Terri Clemens book, “American Family Farms Antiques: "

many households had a tailor's iron.

Tailor's irons were not heated, but smoothed seams with their weight.

They are made of cast iron with a handle that is metal, often twisted."

Vintage miniature Chinese Set. Hand painted in vivid colours

with scenes of people indoors and beautiful floral arrangements,

and gilded rims. Comprises one teapot, six cups and one tray

with Chinese characters underneath.  In excellent condition.

Victorian Staffordshire flatback ceramic spill vase.

The vase is in the centre of this statue in the form of a tree trunk.

A shepherd and shepherdess are leaning against the trunk. 

Reclining at their feet is a lamb and dog – looking very much

like a Staffordshire figurine dog.

Some losses to paint but other than that in very

condition appropriate to its age.  24cm

and imprinted grape and vine decoration.

Lovely example of a vintage scent bottle by American

company ‘Stylebuilt’. The fan shaped handle of the dauber,

the upper and lower rim of this bottle are brass and

glass is of a ribbed design. In excellent condition with dauber intact.

They have the ‘NG’ chop seal mark together with the artist’s signature.

Measure 57cm x 76cm each.

Both appear to have been framed professionally behind Perspex

She is attired in a flowing blue and white gown which is draped

around the vase. Beautifully presented on a large ceramic base

The swan’s head is in clear crystal subtly merging into a

A pair of carved elephant bookends posed on a profusely base.

It appears that poachers have caught up with these elephants
